The CCP's recent smear campaigns against overseas female critics echoed some of the traditional Chinese culture's worst misogynist aspects.
Anyone willing to speak the truth about China and criticize the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a person of tremendous courage because the CCP has little tolerance for any criticism. The party has a long history of brutally suppressing dissenting voices since its founding. The CCP's recent smear campaigns against overseas female critics have been especially shameful and echoed some of the traditional Chinese culture's worst misogynist aspects.
The traditional Chinese culture has made extraordinary contributions to humanity. But like all cultures, the traditional Chinese culture is not perfect. One of its distinctive shortcomings is its attitude and treatment of women.
