"I am More Than"
When you meet someone for the first time, don’t confine them to certain boxes based on their appearance.
“I am More Than” is a ten-episode documentary that explores human complexity and mental health by interviewing ten Coloradoans’ life stories. Rocky Mountain PBS has been airing both new episodes and previous episodes weekly since mid-April. As I mentioned in a prior newsletter, I was honored to be part of the documentary. My episode aired on April 30th. If you missed it and would like to watch it, you can find it on the Rocky Mountain PBS website by following this link. While you there, I encourage you to watch other interviews as well because everyone has an incredible story to tell.
I want to thank Dope Mom Life, a Colorado-based creative video agency that produced the documentary, for including me in this journey and sharing my story and point of view fairly.
My key messages throughout the interview are: when you meet someone for the first time, don’t confine them to certain boxes based on their appearance; despite life’s trials and tribulations, there is always beauty to be found. I hope these messages inspire you as they have inspired me.
By the way, the International Bereaved Mother’s Day is observed on the first Sunday in May every year and this year it will be marked on May 5. I want to send love and prayers to all mothers who lost their precious children. May God bring you peace and comfort today and everyday.
