Get Ready For Worldwide Food Shortages
Food shortages are something many Americans have never experienced before and probably are not sure how to prepare for it.
President Biden recently warned that Americans should be ready for food shortages and higher prices at grocery stores due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. As is often the case, what he told the American people was a half-truth.
Both Russia and Ukraine indeed play a vital role in the global food supply chain, and together, they provide almost a third of the world's wheat and barley exports. Ukraine is also a major supplier of corn and sunflower oil. Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the West's economic sanctions on Russia's economy would affect the global food supply. However, the main culprit of upcoming worldwide food shortages is not the Russia-Ukraine war but the left's relentless war on fossil fuels.
