Great article, Helen. The free world shouldn't fall for Xi's treachery and invest more in China, which would only help paper over his dictatorial mistakes and prop him up for awhile as he plots against the West. In fact, we should disinvest by moving critical supply chains, for things like medicine, out of China to places like India or Vietnam.

The best way to deal with the CCP is to let it implode through suffering the consequences of its own bad policies you outlined. And, in the meantime, the US, Japan, Taiwan and other countries should build up their militaries to counter Xi's threat. And do more to stop the communists from stealing our intellectual property and trade secrets.

If the CCP did fall, it would be a very dangerous time for awhile. But the Chinese people and the rest of the world would ultimately be better off for it.

The free world should hope to hasten the CCP's downfall by refusing to invest in more Chinese factories. Helen, if I remember correctly, your father or grandfather used to say, "Never, ever trust a Communist." Those are wise words to live by.
